Attention Teens!  Become a TipTeen...

TIP volunteers are called to emergency scenes by police officers, firefighters, and hospital personnel to serve as a "shoulder to lean on" for survivors of tragic events. TIP Teens are young people (16-21 years) who are an important part of this team.

Why Become a TIP Teen?
TIP Teens learn crisis intervention skills which they can use throughout their lives. The community service experience gained by TIP Teens is very helpful to them as they pursue their career and educational goals.

Who Are TIP Teens?
TIP Teens are young people who want to make a difference in the community by helping survivors of tragic events. After completing the Volunteer Training Academy, TIP Teens work with adult TIP volunteers on emergency scenes and in hospital emergency rooms. TIP Teens can often help traumatized young people who are resistant to adult help.

How to Become a TIP Teen.
No previous experience is necessary to become a TIP Teen. TIP Teens must be at least 16 years old and have a drivers license and parental consent.
