Resources Division - Recycling Information Since 1989 Okaloosa County has recycled over 200,000,000 Pounds of newspaper, glass, plastic, and metal cans as well as 400,000 tons of yard waste.

When you place your materials in the recycling bin we only collect the following:
Newspaper (includes "slick" inserts - no cardboard, no junk mail)
Yard trimmings- 37.4
Plastics- 13.2
Other- 22.0
Metals- 26.4
Construction & Demolition Debris- 30.8
Paper and paperboard- 68.0
Glass- 8.8
