The wildfire team is trained to provide front-line medical support at the many firestorm events that have plagued our state. All team members are trained in characteristics of fire behavior and wildland firefighting. In addition, two members of the team are trained in standards for survival and staging area manager. Team members are also active with medical care for fire fighters performing controlled burns on the Eglin Air Force Base. The Wildfire Paramedic Team is active not only on the local scene, but also on the national level.
