Due to the extreme agility of the bikes, the Bike Medic Team can quickly reach patients isolated by crowds or terrain, and begin ALS treatment prior to the arrival of an ambulance. The Bike Medic Team is also used to standby at events such as marathons. During this type of utilization the Bike Medics ride along with the athletes involved in the event. This places the Bike Medics in close proximity to all possible patients.

The Bike Medic Team is also used to promote community safety. By giving away free bicycle helmets to children who do not own one, and by participating in bike rodeos that promote safe riding habits, the Bike Medic Team is helping the children of Okaloosa County to be safer cyclists.
