Commissioner James Campbell is the current Chairman for FY 2010-11. He was elected to another four-term on the Board of County Commissioners in 2008.

James is the District 5 Commissioner, which includes Destin and Okaloosa Island. In addition to his role as County Commissioner, James serves as the Recreation Director and Public Information Officer for the City of Niceville where he has served for the past 37 years.

He is passionate about youth recreation and believes this involvement is vital to our future generation of happy, healthy kids. James is a father and grandfather.

Commissioner James F. Campbell was recently recognized for his achievements in local government service in the 2007-2008 Edition of The Heritage Registry of Who’s Who™.
