Commissioner Bill Roberts was re-elected to the Board in 2008 for a third term, and is the vice-chairman for 2011. Bill was born and raised in Okaloosa County and has been the owner of Roberts Allstate Insurance Agency for over 25 years. Bill Roberts is married to wife Deborah and has two sons and one grandson.

Bill is the liaison officer for the following committees:

Community: Florida Association of Counties; Transportation Planning Organization; Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce; West Florida Regional Planning Council and NVOC Regional Sewer Board.

County: Clerk of Court, Water and Sewer, Public Safety, Okaloosa County Library Cooperative, and Purchasing Department; Airports

Commissioner Roberts was recently appointed to the Century Commission for a Sustainable Florida by Governor Crist, is a former City Councilman and Mayor of the City of Fort Walton Beach, is a long-time member of the Fort Walton Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Walton Beach. Bill is a strong supporter of area youth and is Past President of the Playground Area YMCA, Past President of the Northwest Florida All Sports Association, Past Booster Club President of Fort Walton Beach High School and Bruner Middle School.
