Floating Structures Committee

 

Authority:  At the adoption of Ordinance 18-19, the Board requested the formation of a committee to review the regulations in said Ordinance to see if they could be enhanced.

Purpose: At the July 10, 2018 Board meeting, the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance (18-19) that went into effect November 1, 2018 regulating floating structures and the waterborne sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages.

At the time of adoption of the ordinance, the Board requested the formation of a committee to review the regulations to see if they could be enhanced.

 Members:   Seven (7) member committee. 

One appointed by the Tourist Development Council, the City of Destin, the Destin Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Walton Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the County is seeking one (1) representative from each of the following areas: vendors, recreational user and livery businesses (upland jet skis and pontoons rentals business owners).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Term:  This committee will be in affect no longer than 12/31/19.
