Primary Responsibilities Of Okaloosa Beach Safety

All members of the Okaloosa Beach Safety staff are academy trained open-water lifeguards. These dedicated professionals rescue swimmers and all others who may need help in the Gulf of Mexico

Surf Rescue

Okaloosa County lifeguards work hard to educate beach goers about the hazards of swimming in the Gulf of Mexico and enjoying the beach parks.

Public Education

All Okaloosa County lifeguards are capable of providing lifesaving medical care at the First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician level.  Senior Lifeguards are at least Florida
